Spiff Program FAQ
How fast can we launch a spiff program?
New programs typically launch in 4–8 weeks from kickoff, including configuration, testing, and release. Modifications to existing programs go live in 1–2 business days. Emergency changes can be same-day. New to spiff programs? Read our guide on what spiff management is and how it works.
How do you handle W-9 and tax compliance?
Tax compliance is built into the platform. Participants complete W-9 information electronically during enrollment. TIN verification is available. The system tracks cumulative payments against the IRS threshold. A 1099 report is available for internal processing or full support is available including e-file and mailing.
Can we set different payouts per retailer or dealer?
Yes. Each retailer or dealer group can have unique reward structures, eligible products, payout tiers, caps, and date ranges — all configured through the admin portal with no custom development. You can also organize retailers into groups with group-level defaults and individual overrides.
What reward types are supported?
Prescriptive or formula driven spiff amounts. Allows for exclusive programs and escalated rewards including overrides and multipliers. A loyalty points tracker is available second level rewards.
How are spiff claims verified?
Claims go through a configurable workflow: submission, review, approval, and payment. Claims can be auto-approved based on rules (verified retailer, known SKU, within program dates) or routed for manual review. The platform restricts unvalidated claims from being fully routed through which prevents invalid payments.
How are payments fulfilled?
Payments are made via a branded and reloadable prepaid card with cash withdrawal privileges, or a direct deposit ACH. Both can be offered and the rep can choose their redemption method at registration. We can also work with your treasury relationship on other payment methods such as Zelle Disbursements or checks. What reporting and analytics are included?
Our AI-powered analytics engine (Incentit IQ) adds natural-language querying and custom report building on top of your program data. Static, scheduled, and ad-hoc reports. For teams that need programmatic access, our Partner API provides full integration with your internal systems.
