Adjudicating Incentives

Adjudicating incentives is the process of applying database lookups and data auditing to auto-validate incentive requests such as spiffs, instant discounts, and rebates. Our clients and prospects, both energy services and channeled products, are facing constant downward pressure on program costs coupled with a demand to scale up program delivery. Additionally, we often hear from mid-sized organizations wanting introduce sales incentives but not having the internal resources to administrate claims or the budget to afford a third-party processor.
One solution is to adjudicate claims using software automation to replace desktop reviews and paper pushing. Every sale or installation has unique identifiers such as model and serial number or SKU and invoice number. Shipment data from manufacturers or wholesale distributors can be loaded up into the system. But, that data is provided not as a request for money but rather a reference to a downstream claim. Consider it a library of opportunities for which an incentive claim has not yet been made. Once the item has been sold or installed, the dealer or end-customer claim must match an existing opportunity or the claim may not be submitted. Once the opportunity has been claimed it is now longer available for another claim. Couple that with additional lookups such as an address database, a QPL listing, or an industry database of equipment traits (i.e. AHRI for HVAC and water heating), now all claims can be bulk-approved, batched up, and fed via API for fulfillment. It's pain free!
